Set it up on your phone (2 minutes)

  1. Open this page in Chrome (Android) or Safari (iOS).
  2. Menu → Add to Home screen (Safari: Share → Add to Home Screen). You get an app icon that opens straight here.
  3. Open any lesson, tap a Say it button and tap Allow on the microphone prompt. The prompt only appears on HTTPS — so use this deployment, not a downloaded file.
  4. Turn the media volume up for the “hear it” buttons. If the voice sounds robotic, install a Google / US English voice in the phone's language settings.
  5. Do the daily 10 minutes on the phone, then record the weekly benchmark with the phone recorder and move the file into recordings/ on the laptop.

Using a laptop instead?

Microphone drills need a server, because browsers block the microphone on file:// pages:

cd C:\Altamash-Next-js-Project\spoken-english-learning
python -m http.server 8080

then open http://localhost:8080/

Every lesson is one self-contained HTML file sharing assets/lesson.css and assets/speak.js. Progress lives in the printable logs on each reference sheet, and the next lesson is chosen from what those logs say.
